By ignoring the eternal and infinite God, these people focus instead on the earthly domain, which is transient at best. We all know one day the sun will cease to shine and the earth will cease to support life, or exist at all. Our home is not here, but with God. Fools focus on the wealth of this life, the wise focus on building up treasure in the next. "But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also” (Matthew 6:19-21).

Ecclesiastes 3:11 “He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, he has put eternity into man’s heart, yet so that he cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.”
