It is so ridiculous that it has to be part of the movie...like Biden going on a picnic while Israel is being attacked, or going on vacation while Lahaina is on fire, or that ad agency publishing pictures of kids with sex bondage toys, etc.
Surely this would never happen unless someone made them do it to make a point publically.
