Flynn does NOT come right out and call Dave "foolish" and a "dummy". Flynn is speaking generally about people who think the military should unilaterally take action without the command of the duly elected officials.

Flynn is absolutely right and a lot of people do get it wrong. I have always thought that the military should be viewed as a weapon; no different than if it were a loaded firearm. The duly elected officials elected by "We the People" would decide if action and what kind of action would be taken.
