FWIW (haven't used Twitter since very early 2010s) one used to have to put a period in front of the @ if starting a tweet with someone's handle, otherwise it would direct message the user. Not sure if still the protocol.

Not sure of your other dogs, but my gut instinct is perhaps "Speaker" is being highlighted as sort of a metaphysical "One who speaks truth to power" etc. Perhaps Johnson will be instrumental in revealing what We Know.

I admit that's a hopium fueled guess.
