Many are also aware that stockbrokers and market makers have historically been known to send each other symbols in order sizes, in essence, sending orders with certain quantities and prices that indicate instructions on what to do in regards to that stock

Examples:

100 – I need shares.

200 – I need to unload shares.

300 – Take the stock down to get shares.

400 – Keep trading it sideways.

500 – Gap the stock up or down.
