For what its worth, when I start feeling impatient because I "want them to know what I know" a few things help me:
Germination rates vary, alot. This is true for seeds AND even more so for people. In my own life, the most life transforming "seeds" were planted by people who never knew how much their gift altered the course of my life.
Consequently, my brothers hero, Johnny Appleseed, is my inspiration. He just kept planting and handing out apples seeds. He never waited around to see those seeds grow into apple trees. But they did. And because he didnt, there were many, many more apple trees.
I remember the many times Christ talked about seeds and harvests. Each time, He emphasized that the harvest was His, not ours. Rather than being distracted with frets about His harvest, Christ urged those with "ears that could hear" Him to just focus on doing the things God had given them to do. He will handle the rest.
Finally, I try to be mindful that "what I know" may NOT be what someone else needs to know in order to grow. Germination rates vary but what a person needs to grow and flourish also varys. Alot.
. What works for me may be detrimental or even deadly for someone else, even if my motives are loving.
Hence the famous warning phrase about "killing with kindness". Over watering comes to mind.
Bottom line, best wishes, anon.
