sooo was watching a movie with Liam Neeson called "The Marksman", and it would appear that South Americans (etc) cannot cross the border without cartel involvement - the cartels will kill them for crossing without paying them their toll... a good factoid to attain...

oh, and the cartel members crossed the border with obviously fake / stolen passports and the guards just let em in... probably happens a lot
