I have an ancestor from my fathers side that took part in the Reconquista of Iberia (Spain) I was told that part of my family was enslaved by the Moors, The Moors where African converts to Islam. They castrated my ancestors and turned the women into sex slaves. 600-700 years later one of my ancestors takes part in the reconquest of Spain freeing many white slaves, after all is said and done Europe took to the offensive and conquered them back, tens of millions of Visogoth and other white Europeans where enslaved by the African Moors.So you see, the africans are not so innocent after all & we can conclude White Europeans merely responded accordingly.
