Given that, the Brazilian bishops asked for clarification. And the clarification might not be wrong, not being a new doctrine but a review of existing practice. If a tranny is trying to get saved, behind Catholic, then why not get baptized? The other point of clarification was whether a child of a homosexual couple can be baptized- on the theological point of whether the child will be brought up Catholic, if there is good faith it will, then baptism should be fine. But there are practical, real concerns- evil people love to have power over baptized children and have access to the consecrated Host, to desecrate them (this has been a thing forever but not covered in the media); homosexual couples are already not right with God and can take this as validation of their lifestyle from the church; dilution of standards takes everyone down.
