I miss old school black friday. Walking off dinner shopping, getting ridiculous deals at 3 AM.

I am fully convinced that in 2018 when most stores and malls decided to start closing on Thanksgiving with the "noble" reason of "employees can spend time with their families"

It was actually to begin planning scamdemic, since obviously retailers were in on it. It is really sad because I can tell people want normal America back but everyone is too cowardly to say it because they don't want to look "bad"

As for the "family" thing I can say this, when your life depends on a retai job, getting holiday pay and extra hours is a life saver and left overs are always there when you get off. I can't imagine in these times, any employee would turn down the extra pay for platitudes and social media posturing
