Ohio State scores 3 points 2 minutes into the first quarter against Notre Dame. The announcer excitedly exclaims Ohio State IS WINNING the game. With so much of the game left to play, claiming OSU is winning is absurd. They are up, they are ahead, they are leading but they are not winning. As the game progresses and less time is left, winning might be more likely but winning is thought of as a final result and that can't be determined until the contest is declared over by the head referree.

Similarly, when most of the country went to bed on election night of 2020, Trump was in the lead. He himself thought he was winning. Then the steal took place and he awoke to find he had lost. This is the scenario every MAGA patriot wants to avoid. Thus we want to eliminate the cheating. We also loath that Fox News had called Arizona for Biden the moment after the polls closed on that election night. Early calls by MSM is a way to discourage potential voters from coming out and thus should be illegal. We need to stop the sloppy way we use this word. It ain't over till the fat lady sings, or the votes are counted, or until all contestants agree that the contest if over. MSM and the Dems villify Trump for not accepting the election results in 2020. Their claims that Biden won were based on a stolen election which included vote manipulation, illegal machine programming and a host of other things.

The whole concept of winning is now up for grabs unless and until new rules and processes can be implimented that will make it all but impossible to cheat. Until that happens I don't think the American public can be assured of any election victory even weeks after the election much less called in advance. Getting a piece of good news isn't winning. It's encouraging but winning is the result of a process with rules and referees that declare the winner. It matters not the "winning" feelings the contestants experienced before the contest had officially concluded. .
