I watched the press conference a few days ago where Speaker Johnson explained that Republican leaders were not recommending how members should vote on this but were providing all the pros and cons of the arguments about Rep. Santos, along with the Ethics committee findings for the members to consider and vote their conscience. This was completely as it should be done, imho.

To contrast, I think Democrats voted as a block, as they greatly covet Rep. Santos' district and have been spearheading his removal for quite awhile--aided greatly by the mainstream media.

The roll call vote will be interesting to review.
