The scrimpers and savers are only “penalized” in the sense that they don’t personally derive as much personal benefit COMPARED TO OTHERS. As I recall Jesus tells a parable about this exact thing:
“And when they had received it, they murmured against the goodman of the house, saying, ‘These last have wrought but one hour, and thou hast made them equal unto us, which have borne the burden and heat of the day.’ But he answered one of them, and said, ‘Friend, I do thee no wrong: didst not thou agree with me for a penny?’”
Matthew 20:11-13
When the cabal comes crashing down, and we are all simultaneously freed from their power and influence and crimes against humanity, what room would anyone have do complain that they personally didn’t have as many debts to be forgiven as others? Whatever good habits you developed before that happened will remain with you afterward and you’ll continue to benefit from your self control and wisdom. Why play the comparison game and sour your soul on a day that should be spent in celebration and praise?
