It is remarkable how many of the most wealthy and/or successful people have lost one of their children to one thing or another. Perhaps the real cause of death shouldn't be labeled SIDS, or pneumonia, or auto accident, etc.. Perhaps the real cause of death should have been labeled Sacrifice.
Sacrifice to one god or another for future success has been a thing for a very long time. Why would anyone think that practice has gone out of style when there is so much evidence of it still occurring today?
