In my opinion child trafficking is the worst thing happening in our world. Children carrying guns, killing and committing crimes is the second worst. I don’t know what the answer is other than prayer. It’s a vicious cycle of babies having babies dependent on welfare and the baby daddy is not present and most likely running drugs or worse. I’ve heard this city is a child trafficking hub. I don’t know if that’s true. Over ten years ago I heard Charlotte was a hub. I’m not trying start that discussion.

On 01/17/2024, our Crash Reduction Unit conducted a traffic stop in the (blank city) for a motor vehicle violation. Throughout the investigation, a search was conducted on the occupants, and the backseat juvenile passenger was in possession of a firearm located down their pants. After seizing the firearm, it was determined the firearm was built with an “internal switch,” making it an automatic weapon.
The driver was cited and released. The juvenile was taken into custody and processed through the juvenile petition process, charged with felony possession of weapon of mass destruction, misdemeanor carrying a concealed gun, and misdemeanor possession of a firearm by a minor.
“We will continue to actively conduct traffic stops in every part of blank County with the focus of eradicating our streets of guns in the wrong hands,” stated Sheriff.
