This is a prefect time for Texas to practice malicious compliance.
"We can't have a barbed wire fence on the border? Ok, we'll move the whole fence northward about 100 feet. Now it's not on the border anymore!"
Which makes me wonder... Why NOT move the barbed wire 3 miles inward from the border? Sure, you can cross the border, but after you cross the 2.5 mile "border", you've only got 0.5 miles of "Texas" until you run into a 1200 mile long barbed wire fence, mysteriously shaped like the southern border of Texas?
It's technically "not" on the border then. It's 'in' Texas. Right?
Would that work? What if Texas keeps shrinking it? Can they encircle Houston with barbed wire, or will the feds complain about THAT too?
What about the ranchers? Can you surround your own property with barbed wire? If so, can Texas sell contiguous state land to private ranchers, on the condition they surround their property with barbed wire? (to handle the 'cattle problem' of course).
What is Biden going to do in that case, make the entire state of Texas a national monument and claim it as federal land?
