This red string being soley for Kabbalah followers is ridiculous. My son married a Thai woman. It is common to do this in Bhuddist and Vedic cultures. When I visited Thailand I wore one myself. It is worn on one's wrist to absorb negative energy. A red string is also mentioned in Genesis 38, A red string to ward off misfortunes is to be worn on the left wrist. Come on people do your due diligence!
