A good undersink filter I have found is produced by Clearly Filtered. I once used their gravity fed filter with pitcher when I rented but have since installed the the 3 stage under sink filter in our home. They pride themselves on their removal of fluoride.

As a tip: I put the 3 stage filter in a bathroom instead of the kitchen as I didn't want to uselessly run water down the drain when doing dishes or cleaning up the sink. The bathroom has a deep sink with a gooseneck faucet and independent hot and cold levers.
