I used to dress up at Comic Con as movie characters that I thought were cool or funny. You'd see Deadpools, Batman, male Sailor Moons, awesome fan made Transformers and Iron Man suits, etc. And it made for a really fun time.

All I see here is a grown man cosplaying in public.

For me to cosplay in public and demand everyone around me address me as "Wolverine" would be absolutely ridiculous. For me to dress up as a woman and demand everyone around me address me as such is equally ridiculous.
