I don't think that is a fair comment. Steyn has, I believe, successfully defended himself in court several times. I listened to the evidence in this case and, to me at least, Mann did not make the case that what either of the two defendants said caused him any problems at all and, yes, the other defendant did have professional representation.

Many other people said similar things about Mann but they were never accused by Mann. Mann showed no financial hurt that was necessarily caused by what Steyn and his co-defendant said.

Mann is not financing this case himself. Maybe we should follow the money. The reason Steyn lost was because the jury was from DC.

This case has been dragging on since 2012 and that will have imposed a huge financial cost on Steyn. Lawyers are not cheap. The process is the punishment. It has cost Mann nothing.
