D's know that the new rules that the R's put in place, as a condition of voting for McCarthy the first time around, was that it takes only ONE R to file a motion to vacate.
Maybe MTG is their pawn, knowing that R's have already quit and others would cross over to vote D.

I wouldn't put it past her to try to get McCarthy back, or let the Dems get the speakership.
But I don't think either will happen.
Maybe she is well-intentioned.
Will be interesting to see how the major players handle this.
Because of what McCarthy did during his ousting, ALL the R's in the House KNOW that McCarthy is a scum and they know WHO he was a scum with.
Gaetz told us that a lot of the R's were blindsided when the found out that McCarthy was secretely trying to sabotage them.
This vote would be different.
EDIT: If Gaetz is against this because he knows a Dem would become Speaker, then no way can we support this. It means they already have R's who will cross over, and MTG might be the one to lite the fuse. McCarthy might even be behind this to get back in.
