If this is from the NB / NS border, Trudope didn't sent or request them. From all accounts I follow ( and friends who were there ) , the cops didn't get involved really. They just sat back and made sure no one did anything stupid ; it is a fairly busy highway.

Also, nobody blocked the highway. Everyone was pulled over to the sides. The RCMP decided to shut the highway down simply because of the risks with all the vehicles on the sides. Again, it's the highway connecting Nova Scotia to the rest of Canada ; major major route for trucks delivering goods and stuff.
