Personal Experience from last night.

I went to the grocery store to grab some things to make hash brown casserole yesterday.

Got all my stuff together. Go to the checkout line (not a self checkout).

It was a Saturday evening. So there was kid working the register. A young man. And another little young man was bagging for him.

They were talking while the kid rang me up. The cashier kid asks me, "Paper or Plastic?"

And it threw me off guard. Because I haven't been asked that in a while. So I stood there for a second without answering. And finally I just said, "It doesn't matter to me, whatever is more convenient."

The kid goes on about how he has to ask because some people get upset if the cashier's don't ask apparently... I was like "Really?? That's crazy..."

The kid then goes on to start a sentence... He says,

"Yeah, I remember..." And then didn't finish his sentence. And looked at his buddy like, "oh shit" kinda look. As if he were about to really speak his mind, but held himself back because he didn't personally know me.

So I LUNGED AT THE OPPORTUNITY to finish his sentence!!! And I said,

"When the world wasn't filled with bunch of little PUSSIES!"

Both Young Men:

They were floored. It was the best thing ever!! Both dying laughing!!

And then the cashier kid starts telling me about how he really dug Phineas and Ferb and apparently they are rebooting it back up, but they woke it to death. I spit one more to them I thought they might latch to, and said, "yeah well they already fucked up Scooby Doo..." And walked away saluting from my brow to the sky above!

It was a good time, seeing young men act like young men ought to their age.

Anyway, I found this encouraging. Because I feel so bad for the kids these days. Having to endure the public schooling systems lies and bullshit ideologies.

It was nice.
