And those eclipse glasses are so you don't burn your eyes out staring at the sun before totality. You are supposed to take them off when the sun is fully covered. NASA may be doing some crazy stuff, but I guarantee you they are not selling you eclipse glasses so they can fly UFO's near the sun during an eclipse without being spotted...
