True, but any scheme where the nontoxic (i.e., death-free) plant is "on the schedule" of controlled substances but lethal crap like alcohol and cigarettes are not, is not any sort of justice.

There is no legit function of govt, no legit use of taxpayer funding, to coerce free adults into using addictive and lethal substances instead of cannabis by making the latter "illegal"; or to deny free adults access to a plant with both proven medicinal benefits and mood elevation / social relaxation benefits, in one.

ALL of these hardcore sedative drugs are in Schedule IV, BELOW (i.e., less "dangerous" than) where they want cannabis to be: alprazolam, carisoprodol, clonazepam, clorazepate, diazepam, lorazepam, midazolam, temazepam, tramadol, and triazolam.

Not making this up. Yeah, the guy on fucking XANAX and KLONOPIN is WAYYY more in control of himself than after a doobie. Right. Sure, he's liable to fall through a glass table and slice off his face without noticing it, but hey—Schedule IV! Not as scaaaaary as that wacky tabacky!

Perfectly fine to hit up your prescribed amount of pharma pills and drive a car, own a gun, etc. What a joke. The people see through it. Every time the survey goes out, it comes back 70% want it legal for adults, treated the same as wine, and be done with it.
