I disagree with this law.

Me, too. Clear violation of First Amendment.

Remember that during that time, most of the Christians were Jews.

FALSE.

The original Hebrews were not jews. Moses wrote the first 5 books of the OT Bible ("Torah") around 1500 BC.

By this time, he was leading the Israelites, who were desendents of the original Hebrews. Neither the Hebrews nor the Israelites were jews. Not in their ethnicity, nor in their religion.

Although the religion of the time was not called "Hebrewism," it could be described as that, as it was a pre-Christian religion (Christianity before Christ arrived on the scene).

They followed the OT. But the jews followed something different. The jews CLAIMED to follow the Torah (OT), but they never did.

Instead, their rabbis created an oral law called the Tradition of the Elders. The TOE was a set of rules to live by that CONTRADICTED the Torah. Eventually, the TOE would be written down, and is known to day as the Talmud.

The jews practice the Talmud, not the OT. They call ALL of it the "Torah," so they can CLAIM to "follow the Torah." But it is their Talmud that they actually follow.

In the Bible, the scribes were the jewish rabbis who wrote copies of the OT. The Pharisees were a group of mixed people (muh racial diversity!) that included both genetic descendants of Israelites, as well as jews and others. They believed the jewish rabbis and their Tradition of the Elders "laws" that violated "The Law" of the Hebrew OT. They believed the TOE because centuries had gone by, and the Edomite jews were running the place, pushing their TOE.

That's why it can be confusing in the Bible, when Jesus is talking to different groups. If you don't know who is who, then you won't/can't understand.

Sometimes, Jesus spoke only to his disciples, and other times he spoke to the "multitudes," which was everybody.

In each synagogue, the rabbi can sit on a chair, which they call the "Chair of Moses."

Jesus said, in Matthew 23:

2 Saying The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat:

3 All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not.

The jew rabbis will sit in the Chair of Moses and read The Law as written by Moses. This is all valid scripture.

But then ... the rabbi will stand up (notice: no longer sitting in the Chair of Moses) and tell his people what it means, and how to live their lives. THIS is when he lies about the scripture, and promotes the Tradition of the Elders.

Jesus was saying to his people that they SHOULD do what the rabbis say WHEN THEY ARE SEATED IN MOSES' CHAIR, because THAT is when they TELL THE TRUTH. BUT ... DO NOT DO as they actually do themselves, because they do NOT practice what they preach.

This is why the scribes and the Pharisees were constantly trying to trick Jesus about The Law (of Moses/God). Jesus and his followers were NOT going along with the Tradition of the Elders, and they didn't like it.

John 11:49-52-...Caiaphas, being high prior that year, said... 'It is expedient for us that one man should die for the people, and not that the whole nation should perish.' he did not say this on his own authority, but being high priest that year he prophesied that Jesus would die for the nation, and NOT FOR THAT NATION ONLY, but also that he would gather together IN ONE the children of God who were scattered abroad.

You are taking that passage entirely out-of-context, and arriving at an invalid conclusion.

The verses just before that show how Jesus performed a miracle.

45 Then many of the Jews which came to Mary, and had seen the things which Jesus did, believed on him.

The Pharisees did not believe Jesus because He was not following their tradition, which they had confused with The Law.

BUT ... they witnessed with THEIR OWN EYES the miracle that Jesus performed, and started to believe in Him.

46 But some of them went their ways to the Pharisees, and told them what things Jesus had done.

So, OTHER jews still did not believe in Him, and went to tattletale on Him to their jewish leaders.

47 Then gathered the chief priests and the Pharisees a council, and said, What do we? for this man doeth many miracles.

The jew leadership considered Jesus to be a problem. What are they gonna do about this problem?

48 If we let him thus alone, all men will believe on him: and the Romans shall come and take away both our place and nation.

You see? The all lived in the Roman province called Judea. The Romans had political authority over the area, BUT they allowed some of the locals to be leaders. These leaders were Edomite jews.

They were living the good life because they were considered the religious authority of their area, due to promoting their Tradition of the Elders as a "valid" understanding of The Law (Mosaic law).

If everyone starts believing in Jesus, then THEIR gravy train is OVER.

Just like today's Deep State criminals, they did not want this Jesus guy around because he would take away their power, which would also threaten their wealth.

49 And one of them, named Caiaphas, being the high priest that same year, said unto them, Ye know nothing at all,

50 Nor consider that it is expedient for us, that one man should die for the people, and that the whole nation perish not.

51 And this spake he not of himself: but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for that nation;

Caiaphas was a jew. He was not actually "prophesying," but rather PLANNING the murder of Jesus, to get him OUT OF THE WAY of their own cushy gig they had going.

We are all guilty of the murder of Jesus Christ because none of us is without sin someone had to be the guilty party. That's the truth.

Note quite. The jews are the ones who pulled the trigger, so to speak. But Jesus came to Earth because HIS people (the Israelites, NOT the jews) kept disobeying His Law.

Matthew 5:17 --

Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

Matthew 13:35 --

I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world.

Matthew 15:24 --

I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

He came to reveal the truth to HIS people, NOT to the jews.

The fact that people keep blaming Jews for killing Jesus and that some have payed with their lives for this has alienated Jews from the Gospel.

WTF are you talking about?

Jews don't even believe in the New Testament, much less Jesus. Do you even know what they believe?

And yes, their ancestors did commit the murder of Jesus.

Assuming you believe the Bible, then you must acknowledge that this is a true statement.

I have no idea what you mean by "some [jews] have paid with their lives," but I will assume you mean the "Holocaust," which was alway a lie. It never happened.

More non-jews have been murdered by jews over the years than the other way around.

The USS Liberty by itself is enough to prove this. And let's not forget the 60,000,000 White Christians in Russia and Ukraine who were murdered by the jewish leadership there.

(I don't believe that those who make such accusations understand the Gospel or necessarily have a relationship with Christ.)

I strongly doubt that you do.

Some of the stumbling blocks to Jews accepting Jesus have come from their negative experiences with Christians down through the ages.

My God! Nobody can be this dense!

The jews do NOT believe in Jesus.

NEVER did.

Full stop.

And for others reading this, you can see for yourself that THIS is the type of crap that jews have inserted into Christianity over the years to corrupt Christianity.

I have no idea if this is a jew writing this (and I don't care), but clearly it is not a Christian who understands what the Bible itself actually says.

You are taking that passage completely out of context.

The versus just before show how Jesus conducted a miracle.

45 Then many of the Jews which came to Mary, and had seen the things which Jesus did, believed on him.

Some of the jews (among the Pharisees) did not believe Jesus because He was not following their tradition, which they had confused with The Law.

BUT ... they witnessed with THEIR OWN EYES the miracle that Jesus performed, and started to believe in Him.

51 And this spake he not of himself: but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for that nation;

And yes, their ancestors did do the murder of Jesus.

Assuming you believe the Bible, they you must acknowledge that this is a true statement.
