Hope was the only thing left in the box because it was the last evil to be released, and Pandora slammed the box shut before all the evils had escaped.

There are two ways to view this Hope:

This view suggests that hope is a necessary component of human existence, as it gives people the motivation and resilience to persevere in the face of adversity.

I am of the optimistic view and I pray most here are. I do not want a prolonging of the suffering of my fellow people. I want to believe that Hope was left in the box, not for the evil to use against us, but for us to overcome the evil that was released. Metaphorically of course. In the end God Wins. Course from perspective of those that opened it, in this case, I still don't want prolonging, but I want them to know they will lose and that God Wins no matter how hard they try to stop him.
