I don't think so, Malachy although hebrew origin has been part of Irish culture for centuries. There was a Saint Malachy from Ireland that prophesied the list of popes.

You know even in American history you see names like Hezekiah, Elijah in the religious western European settlers, they're not Jewish but take names from the Old Testament. Jeremiah (Gerry) is also a big one in Ireland, Caleb is a well used hebrew name in Northern Ireland by Ulster folk.
