I know it's really hard to not be bitter after seeing so much injustice heaped upon us. But in times like this it's especially important to remember what Jesus wanted for us. He didn't say to be pacifists, but he certainly didn't say that it was okay for your heart to be filled with cruelty and hatred towards your fellow man, no matter how wicked or sinful they are. It is your duty as a Christian to forgive them. You don't have to live with them. You don't have to give them a free pass for their actions. But you do have to learn how to keep hatred out of your heart. I've had to learn that lesson over the past week, the hard way. I almost lost everything that I cared about because of the bitterness and anger that I was carrying in my heart. I almost chased away the most beautiful and perfect woman I've ever met in my entire life because of how cruel I had allowed myself to become without even realizing it. I don't want that for you and your families. Do not let hatred poison your heart, because that's how the devil takes your faith and twists it to his own ends.
