I agree that an airliner has no business flying this low over a residential neighborhood. But the media says "Plunges to 500 feet". Where is the evidence of a "plunge"???
Looking at the radar track that that they share, it does look like the pilots must be having some kind of issue with the plane.
I just wish that the media would limit themselves to what they know for sure and quit jumping to conclusions and sensationalizing what appears to be a close call with an airliner that's very likely in distress.
