We really don’t have much way of knowing whats actually happening and what’s just filmed and presented to us as happening now.

1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, Jesus Christ.

The TV is a mediator - “medium” “media” - between us and reality. Unquestioning acceptance of it is something of a denial of Christ.

If we truly, truly relied on Him as a mediator, in a truly repentant state, wouldn’t it be possible.. or certain, even.. that we would get much better direction?
