HE is a man of "color" to be a role model.

Single mother. Not rich. Made to read and study (great mom!). No excuses allowed.

Sounds rather "normal" doesn't it? Did he whine, complain, or blame others for not being successful? NOPE. He is/was successful for the exact opposite response - get off your duff, read, study, learn, and do it - with prayers to our God, work, blood, sweat, and probably a few tears along the way. BUT he did it on his OWN and has done a damned good job of it!

He spoke at my son's graduation at Liberty University and got a standing O - he is both a hero and an icon. God bless him and may there be many more like him coming our way (skin color be damned)!
