It might be a temporary state they would accept for stability. Though I doubt they’d go about calling it Emperor. Previous Republics had similar emergency roles that allowed appointed leaders to temporarily disregard things like term limits in the name of ensuring stability.

The country feuding every 4 years based on political lines at this stage, probably wouldn’t be healthy for the nation for a few years. Especially After about a decade of extremely tense domestic politics punctuated with periods of violent unrest. And factoring in the fact we’re supposedly going to have most of what passes for Mainstream American Culture ripped out from under us. IE the arrests and removal of Stars, Business Executives, Religious Leaders etc. And the seizure of assets including companies that have operated as major parts of American life.

That’s not even considering the multitude of other problems. That would be ongoing at the same time. Dealing with the damage from the Jabs. A Mental Health Crisis unseen in modern times. Social instability as we grapple with over a decade of Alphabet Soup bullshit. Marriage rates that are in the toilet. Renewed Racial Tensions. And untangling the web of our own history. Determining what’s Truth, and what’s lies and propaganda.

Defuse a ticking Timebomb of an international situation. Working with us or not. There’s going to be a not insignificant amount of Russians, Ukrainians and others who rightly or wrongly will come to blame Americans in general for the fact they’re burying their families. Doing a “Well acktually it wasn’t REALLY the U.S.” probably wouldn’t do much to diffuse the anger. We’re going to potentially be looking at the risk of terror attacks and revenge attacks for years to come. Not to mention the social upsets that come with trying to continue integration of new technologies. Not mention grappling with China and the CCP Znow that we removed the mutual enemy.

That and frankly. It’s doubtful any international WH allies we do have. Will be willing allow the U.S to resume an idealized “Republic” status. Considering we went went from that supposed ideal to Oligarchic Hegemon in 240 odd years. That either directly or indirectly toppled Governments at will that had in some cases stood stable for far longer than we had been a country.

Without the ability have some check on our power other than relying on the Intelligence of the American people and their ability to not fall asleep at the wheel again. While we’d likely revert to a Republic probably wouldn’t be the reversion to a version of the much Mythologized Founders Republic many like or want to believe.

Granted the number crunchers and planners likely have any number of solutions and contingencies. So Lord knows what the future will look like. But they’ve probably accounted for most everything. I’m just a random tard online
