Given its an airport though. And DHS tendency to bypass them from typical screening procedures. I’d bet on an Illegal

Which is part of how and why the American Homeless population has gotten a reputation for causing crime and violence wherever they go.
As the mentally ill are far more likely to end up homeless. And usually turn to one or more addictions to illicit substances to self-medicate. Further aggravating sometimes tenuous mental states. And they tend to steal and commit crimes to feed their addictions.
And it’s not particularly unheard of for a Mentally Ill person in the throes of a delusion. To just randomly lash out Violently at passersby.
Further not helping things in the mental illness camp is the tendency of other countries to use the U.S as a relief valve. Especially during the last few years. To offload their Mental Cases and Violent, and potentially insane criminal elements. And reduce pressure on their resources.
