I had never even heard of Thiel prior to Vance being named. I’ve read the llllooooonnnnggg article twice and still don’t feel entirely conversant in the subject matter. But near as I can gather, it seems whether Democrat, Republican, or “Other,” We The People are allowing our government via “private” corporations to invade our privacy and freedoms on increasingly Orwellian and Communistic levels, the likes from which, once fully implemented ala facial recognition, “real ID’s” etc, we will never recover. I further suspect that one of the goals of unchecked illegal mass immigration is for citizens to ultimately become so fearful of and tired of the illegals that we willingly accept Big Brother AI surveillance on all aspects of our lives. And we will do so righteously and blindly in the name of Safety, Just like we did with, Google, Facebook, and other “convenient” apps ad nauseum. Forgive me, but it really does seem to me there is a UniParty at play and we are phucked, either way. That’s the gist I get, anyway. 🥴
