Satan is the God of this world. Jesus said so. He has dominion until Christ return. God's people have power over satan amd those who remain ignorant as to that power and ignorant as to God's Word which reveals all this clearly once Jesus came the first time have no offense against it.

Those born again ones who don't know their power are lumped in.

"My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge"

Satan offered Jesus all the Kingdoms of this world if he would bow down and worship him. We know jesus told satan to get lost.

So it should be NO surprise that Satan has given those kingdoms to weak people who sold their souls and bowed down as that is the cost.

But the believer in Christ has power from on high and Satan is far below our feet. Read 1cor 12 and 14 if you want to understand your power base and stop being whooped by an enemy that Christ already defeated.
