Repentance and faith in Jesus Christ is all that scripture requires BUT it must be genuine faith.

Yep, and another important point is that no man can bring anybody else to true faith in Christ -- only God can "draw them to His Son", as in John 6:44. This completely destroys the popular belief that men can cause other men to come to Christ. This is a most wicked perversion of evangelism and is the primary basis upon which countless atrocities have been committed, "in the name of Christ", these "warriors for Christ" have murdered, tortured, slandered, extorted their way through the ages and thank GOD this has finally been put to an end, at least the physical aspects of it. There is still plenty of mental / verbal persecution and irritant by zealous "evangelists", putting huge burdens on people, often not even knowing the truth of what they themselves preach as they lobby their prospects with whatever sect or denomination they subscribe to, but Christ never pursued people who didn't believe Him. He was not shoving his teachings down peoples' throat, He was "sewing seeds" and whatever the heart conditions of the listeners was determined whether or not they received His message.

Also, the tweet is a bit misleading. You don't get saved by "converting to 'Christianity'", whatever he means by that term, you get saved by faith in Christ. This further illustrates the abysmal state of most believers mentality, thinking that whatever they call Christianity is the same thing as belief in Jesus. It is a highly-loaded term and I cringe when I hear it
