When I replied with the truth that all those lockdowns happened under the state’s own leadership. That Trump left it up to the governors to decide he responded with “well Trump threatened to withhold federal funding if they didn’t follow fauci’s orders” an obviously blatant lie he learned from some retard on Twitter.

When I replied with the dates for the vaccine mandates in the military and how it happened under Biden, he responded with “well Trump started all that crap and it just finally came to fruition under Biden but Trump actually started all those vaccine mandates for the military before Biden was even in office”.

He never thought like this until he got on Twitter. I warned him that it is a breeding ground for cognitive dissonance and confirmation bias but he responded with “no man, Elon just bought it, it’s completely uncensored now.” (Literally conflating free speech with the design of the platform to function off cognitive dissonance and confirmation bias.)
