Enjoyed the piece on Baldwin from the Paris Review. I didn't realise he had been such a public intellectual during the Civil Rights movement. Further, I didn't realise the piece itself was written by Colm Toibin until the crescendo where Toibin brings in the enigma Cuchulian Comforted, a poem which has long haunted me.
