It's a bit shortsighted on your behalf to assume I do not have any experience in your talking points. I do both through personal experience and research, in fact, I use to share some of the same ideas and I actually agree with your point that nearly all cultures and religions share similar aspects especially surrounding the flood. This is because they share a similar root and that root is Nimrod's Babylon, at the scattering of the people and confusion of languages each people group restarted their culture with an adaption of their previous belief. As for your insistence in referring to the church as that solely of the Roman Catholic Church and not the Body of believers(ekklēsia) I think this is another gross generalization. What you also dont know, is in my opinion Roman Catholicism really isn't Biblical Christianity and more Roman Polytheism masquerading as Christianity. Alexander Hislop's "the two babylons" is an excellent source. Satan is not only the great deceiver he is also the great at mimicry.
