American Conservatives and ‘The Right’ mostly abandoned the Humanities and creative fields by the late 90s and early 2000s in academia for a variety of reasons. Meaning many of the people institutions are churning out now to fill roles at game companies etc. Are parroting the appropriate university politics.
And the American Conservatives are only now barely shaking off the stigma of being the boomers and moral busybodies who tried to ban DnD, Pokémon, and (insert popular 80s-90s and early 2000s franchise for teenagers/kids). And realizing pop-culture isn’t something you are able to ignore. Or squash. Much to the bitter coping of the remnants of the Christian Conservative Busybodies of the 80s and 90s like Matt Walsh.
