In China, many dogs are cooked alive. Torching, ovens, boiling. That way they release epinephrine and the meat has an extra kick. Something like Adrenochrome, I suppose. I've seen bloody dogs on videos walking around without any fur or skin. Just an alive, bloody, mess. They tie their paws behind their back while they are alive, which is not a natural position. Chinese will also eat part of the dog, and let the dog live for future harvesting.

IT'S HORRID.

Mar 11, 2020 - Every June, in the south east city of Yulin, thousands of dogs are slaughtered, butchered, cooked and eaten for the ten-day Lychee and Dog Meat Festival, where some believe the fruit and meat combination will bring health through the long winter months.

Footage from last year’s event, which showed a dog being blow-torched alive, caused outrage around the world.

But the thousands slaughtered at Yulin are just a drop in the ocean for a legal trade that sees 30million dogs slaughtered worldwide annually.

Although it’s not part of the mainstream Chinese diet, China is the world's largest dog meat market, with 97,000 tonnes produced each year. A recent pork shortage sent the price sky high and boosted sales of dog products.

There are videos and photos, but I am not posting those here. They're deeply unsettling and depressing. Some videos are on YouTube.

My personal opinion: Lately, you will see many heart-warming stories of dogs or other cute animals in China. I believe these to be PROPAGANDA, because the Chinese know the real way they treat animals, makes other cultures very angry. So I think that's why we are seeing a lot of them lately on YouTube. Especially the puppies, ducks and baby bunnies. Where are the adult animals? Looking at the comments, the stories seem to be working to convince the world they care.
