An opinion, probably rude and unappreciated: Why take unecessary health risks inevitably presenting themselves by traveling abroad to poverty stricken areas during these uncertain times? I believe in caring for what is close to you first. America's poor and struggling, or your very own country where ever you are. It is typical "Age of Aquarius" thinking, to cast far and wide in the world for people and situations to assist with, while people and animals a stone's throw from you are absolutely desperate for help and for hope. Some even ignore the needs of their own family. I just don't believe that kind of short-sightedness is what Jesus had in mind. I have given this a lot of thought because I witnessed both sides of this, first hand.

My opinion which can certainly be ignored: I believe in caring for what is close to you first. America's poor and struggling or your very own country where ever you are. It is typical "Age of Aquarius" thinking, to cast far and wide in the world for people and situations to assist with, while people and animals a stone's throw from you are absolutely desperate for help and for hope. Sometimes even ignoring the needs of one's own family. I just don't believe that kind of short-sightedness is what Jesus had in mind.
