Ya know, this has me so pissed off I could spit. From afar I've watched similar shit with the La Haina and California DEW fires and now this with modified Helene for a lithium-greed land grab. The difference here is that I am a lot closer than Hawaii and California. Not real close, about a 12-hour drive. I'm old but I got a 4 WD pickup truck, a plow on it, some chain saws and other tools, camping stuff, and two adult sons I could probably talk into taking a week off of work to go down there and help even one family set up temporary shelter or clear trees and mud or whatever. But I feel like just the three of us would be like trying to move a mountain with a teaspoon.
