I personally never look at down votes as a bad thing on it's face…

What's "more true" never starts out as the popular thing brother. There's things I posted months ago that got far more down than up votes… only to recently post the exact same idea days ago and it was 22+ up votes and only two down.
If you're getting down voted, there's a chance you're blazing a new trail of valuable information.
