Oh yes. The Traitor Angle. What is the punishment for treason again?
There is a point: Trump stepped down and handed the keys to Joe. So, who is the injured party? On the face of it, he conceded. Nevertheless, the Dems need to prove Trump is a criminal. In my opinion, the whole insumm-erection, and the 'consipracy to stop official proceedings' is a dud of a court-case, because the Democrats won (the halting-proceeding thing happens to be constitutionally protected, when there is suspicion of fraud. It also happened to be vetted by Trump's attorneys, before going ahead, which makes Dems seethe). Their Mens Rea is that he changed his legal team (hired a world-class lawyer -Guiliani), because he 'wanted' to win. Wow.
There is a fuzzy area, which these operatives are jamming on. They claim that Trump falsely claimed mail-in ballots were open to fraud, pre-election. Weeeell those ballots kinda are, as found by multiple Western and Eastern countries, but we didn't know for sure at the time, when Trump declared Victory on election night, supposedly. Apart from such a statement being an opinion, sooo, a huge grey area, they try and make this a criminal charge. We all saw what happened: the 'fraud' graphs, just saying. We all had questions.
And, they say that he 'knew' it was a false claim, despite multple advisors telling him otherwise. So now, they are weasel-wording that the President does not have discretion in his core-beliefs. A President is not allowed to have an opinion, apparently, if a bunch of experts say otherwise. And seeking second opinions from other lawyers is somehow fraudulent behaviour. Definitely bad orange-man.
Then, there is the fact that Fox News declared Arizona Democrat, on the night of the election. Which is ridiculous, because Arizona had the longest pause before declaring anything, so how did Fox know, other than having an agenda of 'shaping narratives'? Totally 'not a fraudulent claim', at all. And the numbers kept shifting. Fraud without proof. Suuure.
Oh and the video of suitcases in Georgia - claims were definitely de-bunked. Yep. Totally investigated, and Guiliani had to press the matter. How dared he. LOL
And mean tweets. Definitely evidence /s.
