My son was diagnosed @ 2-3 years of age. We were fortunate back then and I was active duty and got transferred back to the general DC area where he was integrated into the Head Start Program. He too is exactly like you in regards to his social skill sets today as he celebrates his 34th birthday. Now I will go out on a limb and put it out there: my son was perfectly fine until he received his MMR shot. I protested at the time saying he was too early for it. I will go to my grave on this that autism is caused by vaccinations at way too early of an age. To this day when i see a couple with a new born, i plead with them to hold off on the combined multiple vaccines until they are older. But I digress.
