Well a random on here is trying to say what IM (keyword) experiencing on X is not true.

mmmm, I think you're misreading. What the 'random' was saying is that the following is "just not true":

  • Twitter is by far from freed.
  • Still bad actors heavily moderating that site and most other social media.

That's the argument he/she's refuting. Not your personal experience. Rather, your conclusions.

You've twisted the discussion to now make it about your personal experience, which it never was. Why?

Another thing worth noting:

I want to keep my handshake status just to show you IDGAF about anything but truth.

What a curious attitude. Why are you concerned about showing others yrou attitude? Also, you appear to be inherently asserting that anyone who actually has a steady account is concerned (more concerned?) about things other than truth.

There are some positive benefits for the board and the work we do here provided by the steady account situation. When people have a steady account, they can build a reputation and track record. It many ways, it helps to build discussion and community.

As a handshake, nobody knows who you are or what you are, and thus, your comments and contributions are evaluated ONLY on the content of what you right in that instance.

Many handshakes are welcomed and embraced by people who resonate and agree with (or see value in) their comments.

I don't see anything wrong with setting up a handshake account to plonk a comment or viewpoint more anonymously, but at the same time, you deprive yourself and others of any context that might illuminate your perspective. Iow, you will be evaluated only on what you write then and there.

However, ironically, it seems like you are making your own predilection for being a handshake the scapegoat instead of actually responding to the criticisms of the content of what you are writing. IMO.

Worth noting that if you were NOT a handshake, but had an existing track record, people might be more inclined to give the benefit of the doubt in the case of dubious or unproductive ideas or ambiguous ideas you are offering.

Either way, your choice, but don't pretend its because you are a handshake that people don't resonate with your views.

One does not need to be a handshake in order to be fundamentally focused on truth.

Case in point: many handshakes are welcomed and embraced by people who resonate and agree with (or see value in) their comments.
