The only folks predicting it to be a cat 5 at landfall were doomers. The weather channel seems to be the greatest of the doomers. They come out like vampires at halloween during a storm. I have been watching this thing for almost 2 weeks as it festered deep in the gulf because my house is right above the cone of doom. I use max tracker, an app that only shows 8 models and they are the best of the best. Since saturday they have been pretty much dead on and even very close with the models so far. They called the intensity on sunday to go up to a 5 but drop to a 3 before landfall. I hope they are right like they usually are. Their models showed direct hits from spring hill to tampa and that has recently been moved south. Its supposed to hit near Sarasota as a 3. Things do change though, especially with weird storms like this one. This is an oddball.
