The federal government shouldn’t be determining uniform criminal law, especially not through appointed positions without available appeal. Uts job is national defense, state dispute resolution, guarantee republican form of government, highest appeal court, and a few other functions, but not “we tell you what to do.” That’s a double edged sword and we clearly lost that battle, and would eventually lose it even if we hadn’t already.
